ATA Events

The Carroll County Gun Club hosts a number of ATA (Amateur Trapshooters Association) shooting events each year.  Shooters from all over the Mid-Atlantic come to compete, register targets, and win awards.

2008 ATA Shoot Schedule

FREE STATE OPEN
Saturday & Sunday, April 26th ~ 27th
  Saturday:  200 Singles and 100 Handicap
  Sunday:  100 Handicap and 50 pair Doubles

MEMORIAL SHOOT
Sunday, May 18th
  Sunday:  100 Singles, 100 Handicap, & 50 pair Doubles

PRESIDENT'S SHOOT
Sunday, July 27th
  Sunday:  100 Singles, 100 Handicap, & 50 pair Doubles

Awards

Trophies are awarded to Class and Yardage winners in 16-Yard and Handicap events, and winner and runner-up in Doubles events.

Trophies in Special Categories (Lady, Veteran, Senior Veteran, Junior) are awarded to the winners in the Handicap event only.  Additionally in handicap events, a Winner and Runner-Up Trophy is given.

Notes:
▪ A high-over-all trophy is awarded at each shoot -
   normally all 16-Yard and Handicap events are included
▪ No shooter can win more than one trophy per event
▪ The purse in all 16-Yard events is a Class Purse -
  Each class (AA, A, B, C, D) will shoot for it’s own money.

	Lewis & Purse Options	$15.00
	50 Option	$15.00
	Daily ATA Fee	$  2.00
	Daily State Association Fee	$  1.50
	HG&M Fee	1¢	- per target (State Association Levy)

 

2008 ATA Shoot Schedule

The Carroll County Gun Club Big 50 shoots are held on the 1st & 3rd
Wednesday's of the month, parallel to our general practice schedule,
from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (cut off time).

Big 50 Format
$8.00 for (50) 16 yard targets
$8.00 for (50) Handicap targets
$8.00 for 25 pair of Doubles
$1.00 for the ATA per-night Fee
$1.00 for the State per-night Fee

- MSSA maintenance fees are waived.
- Shoot one, two or all three events.
- Each event can only be shot once.

Yardage is earned as follows:
1/2 yard for 50 straight Handicaps 15-39 shooters 1/2 yard is earned for HI score only.
